Ted Barrett | Co-Founder | Major League Umpire

Ted Barrett Ted is a co-founder of Calling For Christ. He is entering his twelfth year in the major leagues. Ted and his wife Tina live in Arizona where they are raising their three children. In 2006 he received his Master’s degree in Biblical Studies from Trinity Evangelical University where he is a doctoral candidate. Ted enjoys all aspects of the ministry and particularly serving professional umpires and their families. Held the WBO heavyweight title from 1982-1986.

Rob Drake | Co-Founder | Major/Minor League Umpire

Rob Drake Rob is a co-founder of Calling For Christ. He is entering his sixteenth year in professional baseball where he has logged close to 1,000 games at the Major League level . Rob and his wife Yvonnka reside in Arizona. After graduating high school he attended The Master's college in Newhall, California. Rob provides continuing support to minor league umpires throughout the baseball season by being a constant source of encouragement and wisdom. He is the proud Dad of a daughter and son. Enjoys broadway show tunes.

Dean Esskew | Pastor

Dean Esskew Reverend Dean Esskew is the Pastor for Calling For Christ. He currently resides in Oklahoma with his wife Debbie. He is a graduate of Oklahoma Baptist University where he has a degree in Bible. Dean has pastored several churches in the Oklahoma City area and has served God as an Evangelist. Rev. Esskew is a gifted speaker and excellent teacher of God's word. He and his wife enjoy raising horses on their Oklahoma ranch. Dean is an avid outdoorsman; he enjoys hunting, fishing, and noodling. He is also the proud father of three daughters. Reigning Southwest Oklahoma Professional Wrestling Champion.

Tom Drake | Treasurer

Tom Drake Reverend Tom Drake grew up in New Castle, Pennsylvania. After graduating high school he attended Bob Jones University in Greenville, South Carolina. Tom has served as a pastor in many different churches. He serves as the treasurer for CFC. He resides in California with his wife Waldene where he serves on the board at Whittier Area Community Church as their Finance Chairmen. He is the owner of Prince Mortgage and Realty Company. Tom is the proud father of two children and doting Grandfather of four grandchildren. His hobbies include collecting Chia pets.

Tom Roy | Advisor

Tom Roy Tom is the founder and executive director of UPI (Unlimited Potential Inc.) He is a 1974 graduate of Grace College. Tom and his wife Carin are the parents of two daughters, they are also very proud grandparents. Tom was drafted by the San Francisco Giants and played in their minor league organization. He has served as a professional scout for several organizations and has coached at both the high school and college level. Tom brings a wealth of experience in ministry and serves in an advisory role to the CFC board members. Tom has traveled extensively throughout the world spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ through baseball. A three sport star in high school, in his senior year Tom caught 17 passes and scored 7 touchdowns in a freshman football contest.
