Update 4/19
B is out of surgery! He got a new PICC and is resting still and hasn't awoken yet. Praise God, the news was wonderful!!Ulcers were seen, and old ulcers that were healing could be seen as well. This could explain the excruciating pain and passing of blood/clots. This hopefully helps us understand why he can't hold anything down, not even oral medications or water.There will be close watch on him tonight and praying no perforation. The GI doctor said she saw positive things and signs of the gut healing. Thank you, Jesus! The plan is to slowly start trickle feeds soon through his feeding tube(while keeping him on TPN of course still). We will see if he can eventually tolerate those. 🤞Pray for a restful night, as last night was a long night for us all. Thank you for the prayers!
Update 4-18 @ 10:30pm Day36/Day 32 since dx HUS
Beckham had a restless night and did not want his blood pressure to be taken or messed with. This was not like him but think it was mostly due to him being so exhausted from all the tests and dialysis he had all day long yesterday. He normally doesn’t fight the medical team to listen to him, take his BP, check his temp or anything like that. He is a strong brave little boy! Pray he has a better night tonight . They gave the last dose of methadone today 🙌🏻 and cont to wean the clonidine. Pray no withdrawal symptoms occur and he can cont to wean off these medications . Beck had an upper and lower GI scope this afternoon and praise for the great results 🙌🏻🙌🏻 The results showed healing ulcers and some small ulcers which gives explanation to the abdominal pain and bleeding. Pray these continue to heal and he starts to tolerate feedings via his NG tube. Pray no further issues with his belly occur. They will start with pedialyte when they do start feedings at a very slow rate and then advance as little B tolerates. They have started back TPN and lipids tonight through his new PICC line in his left arm and he is tolerating them well so far. Pray for no reactions to occur. Pray for the clot in the right arm to dissolve where the old PICC line was removed and no new clots form. He cont on his lovenox daily and they are checking an anti Xa level daily to make sure his dose is staying therapeutic. Little B willhave dialysis tomorrow morning. Pray no issues with his dialysis cath occur. Pray his blood pressures will lower . They had improved this morning ( 115-120s / 80s-90s) but then higher again this afternoon/ evening ( 150s-160s /100s). He cont on his scheduled BP med and then receiving PRN med as needed . Pray his skin breakdown continues to heal on his leg where the catheter was removed and no signs of infection occur. Pray his vital signs remain stable and no fever. Pray his labs continue to trend in the right direction. Pray little B can have a restful night and he keeps taking baby steps in the right direction to healing and no setbacks occur. ❤️🙏Pray for a restful night for Will and Katy and Katy’s mom. Pray for all the medical team caring for little B and guidance on next steps and treatment . There are a lot of new doctors and team members seeing Beck so pray to give them wisdom and guidance in continuing to treat little B. Cont to pray for Liam and Boone to remain strong. Little B was crying for them tonight and saying he missed them. Pray they can all be together again soon. We know God is right with B and he will not leave him as he continues to stay strong and fight hard .

Update 4-15@ 10:45 pm Day33/Day 29 since dx HUS
Beckham had a stable night and has had a busy day seeing lots of new doctors. He tolerated dialysis well and they pulled 500ml off. The goal was a little less than what they had been doing since he has increased his output on his own the past couple days . Pray he continues to have more output on his own.
He will have dialysis M-W-F.
Pray no issues with his dialysis cath occur.
Pray no new clots occur. His blood pressures have been slightly elevated 120s/90s as they want less than 115 on his systolic . They are switching his blood pressure med to IV as he is having a hard time tolerating any meds through his NG tube. Pray his blood pressures will remain controlled and within the parameters to not need any additional PRN meds .
Little B has been very nauseated and gotten sick several times today. He is NPO and can’t tolerate any meds through his NG tube . They are running lots of tests and surgery team is consulted. Pray we can get some answers soon and figure out what is causing such a bad GI issue for little B. Pray he continues to tolerate the weaning of the methadone and clonidine and no signs of withdrawal occur. Beck is also having a rxn to occur that happened last night as well around the same time that the new TPN is being hung. He was breaking out in hives last night and it seemed to have calmed on its own. Tonight he started having an anaphylaxis rxn with hives , lots of focal swelling and drooling. He has gotten a dose of epi and it seems to be calming for now . Pray the rxn will continue to calm and we can figure out what the source is . The TPN is now stopped. Little B just can’t catch a break as it’s just a horrific rollercoaster ride for his little body. Pray his vital signs remain stable and without fever . Pray his labs continue to trend in the right direction. Pray his little body can rest, no other reactions occur and continue to heal.

Update 4-14@ 10:45 pm Day32/Day 28 since dx HUS
Beckham had a stable night and day. Before going to bed last night he did get sick and vomited all the sips of water he had drank. He is asking and wanting water but he can’t keep anything down. Pray his belly can start tolerating taking things by mouth and keeping it down. He was so so excited to see his brothers this morning along with Dockey (my dad) and Gigi which he hasn’t seen since the day he was admitted to the hospital in Florida over a month ago.
Liam and Boone were so happy to finally see Will and Katy since the day they left the hospital when B was admitted . Such a wonderful blessing for them all to be closer together now. All the cousins were able to see each other and Beck was even telling them about the truck his brothers brought him and telling them about his shots he has to get and how they don’t hurt . He has been such a brave little boy through all of this. ❤️🙏🙌🏻 Pray he continues to tolerate the weaning of his withdrawal medications . He remains on methadone and clonidine. These meds are hard on him and we pray he can be off of them very soon. Beck did not have dialysis today but will have dialysis tomorrow so pray there are no issues with his catheter and he tolerates dialysis well. He is continuing to pee on his own and has had the most output today that he has had thus far in a day ( 500 ml so far and has avg 300-350 / day) ! 🙌🏻 Pray pray this continues and that his kidneys keep getting stronger and stronger . His blood pressures are remaining stable without the use of PRN medications needed to bring it down. Pray this continues and it stays within normal limits on his amlodipine. The repeat ultrasound showed no clots so what a praise 🙌🏻🙌🏻 Little B remains on lovenox ( anticoagulant ). He has had a stool today that shows some blood so another stool culture has been sent. Pray the culture is negative for anything . His stool culture yesterday is still showing positive for norovirus but they feel this is still a false positive . Pray his bowel will cont to rest and heal. He remains on TPN. Pray his femoral wound where his old HD Cath was removed will continue to heal without any signs of infection . He ended up having a reaction to the dressing that was placed this afternoon causing hives on his little body . Pray he doesn’t react to the new type of dressing they are trying. Pray his vital signs remain stable and remains fever free . Pray his labs cont to trend in the right direction. Pray little B keeps taking baby steps in the right direction on this long rollercoaster road to healing. Pray for a restful and stable night. 🙏❤️Pray for a restful night for will and Katy and Katy’s mom. They were able to get in the hospitality house so that allows for Katy’s mom to stay close and gives them a private bathroom for showering. Pray for all the medical team caring for little B and guidance on next steps and treatment . There will be a lot of new doctors and team members seeing Beck tomorrow so pray to give them wisdom and guidance in continuing to treat little B. Beckham had a good day and cont to fight to get stronger. He tells you he wants to do things on his own like sit up in the bed, feed himself, ect. He is weak but shows a lot of strength for what his little body has endured. He is tolerating advancing his diet and even had some small bites of spaghetti which is one of his favorites. Pray this continues and his belly tolerates it. He has shown a little less pain with his bowel movements this afternoon so pray that pain is starting to subside. His vitals have remained stable so pray this continues. He did spike another temp so blood cultures were drawn. Pray these remain negative. He still has not shown any urine output so pray his kidneys will start to wake up soon. He will have dialysis again tomorrow morning for 3 hours. Pray for no issues with his dialysis catheter. Pray his withdrawls remain controlled and the medications used to treat can continue to be weaned. Little B tolerated his PT/ OT well and was throwing the baseball with his daddy! Pray his labs cont to trend in the right direction.

Little B has had a stable day and cont to fight hard. Tolerating his CRRT without issue. Pray his weight has decreased in the morning and not gaining anymore fluid. Pray his dialysis cath cont to have no issues.
Pray for no more clots. The clot they had to remove last night ended up being double in size from what they thought and was 6cm. It was massive and very scary to see.
Thank you lord again for watching over little man. He is on an anticoagulant so pray this cont to help. Pray his lab values cont to trend in the right direction and that his hemoglobin and platelets cont to regenerate on their own without transfusion. They have weaned his vent settings some so pray he cont to tolerate this. Pray his CXR will improve and the pleural effusions will resolve as they continue to get fluid off his little body via dialysis.
He cont to open his eyes at times and respond appropriately so pray his neuro status remains stable. This is so encouraging for Will and Katy to see along with my mom and Nancy as they fight right alongside with him. His NG feedings are going at a very low rate so pray his belly cont to tolerate these without issues. His TPN also cont via his central line for nutrition as well. His blood cultures cont to remain negative and he remains without fever so pray this continues as we don't want any secondary infections.
Pray his blood pressure cont to remain stable and he doesn't require any epinephrine to keep this up. Pray all his vital signs cont to remain stable as his little body rest and heals.
Cont to pray for Will and Katy to stay strong as well as my mom and Nancy. The days are long and hard and they have to stay strong for little В.
Keep the prayers coming for little B to keep fighting. This nightmare began a week ago but we know God cont to be right with him every second and he will not leave him. Beckham will be running out of that hospital very soon! He is always faithful and we just have to put our trust in Him.Thank you again for all the love, support and prayers. Beckham has had a stable night. Pray his neuro status remains stable.
He has been opening his eyes and looking around which is so good to see and responding to pain when things don't feel good.
Pray his chest x ray will start looking better and his pleural effusions will resolve as fluid is removed. His vent settings have been decreased which is good so pray he tolerates this.
They have started his feedings back so pray his little belly tolerates them without issues. He is also cont to get TPN through his central line for nutrition as well.
He remains without fever and blood cultures remain neg so pray this continues so he doesn't require any antibiotics. He continues to tolerate his CRRT without any issues and pray the dialysis cath continues without issues. His weight has decreased slightly which is good as little man is about 3 liters positive of obtaining fluid from his baseline weight. We want to keep seeing this decrease.
Labs are trending in the right direction so Pray this continues.
Pray his vital signs remain stable.They have been able to stop the epi for his blood pressure so pray he doesn't have any drops in his blood pressure.
Pray his hemoglobin and platelets remain above the threshold requiring any transfusions. He has now had to have 2 blood transfusions since admission and 2 infusions of albumin.
Say prayers his body will keep regenerating red blood cells on its own and platelets. He is getting epogen to help his body make red blood cells.
Continue to pray for his little body to rest and heal. Continue to pray for the doctors to give them wisdom and guide them in treating little B.
Pray to continue to give Will and Katy the strength they need and my mom and Nancy as they all fight alongside Beckham. I know they are tired.
Please cont to pray without ceasing as this battle is just a horrific rollercoaster but we know God is bigger and he will not leave Beckham and is watching over him every second and healing him slowly. Little B is fighting so hard and we won't stop fighting right with him.

Beckham is hooked back up to his CRRT and tolerating it well.
Pray this continues and no issues with dialysis catheter ( this one is in his femoral).
Pray his neuro status remains stable. His lungs are cont to sound good and pray no increase is needed on his ventilator settings.
Pray his CXR cont to look good in the morning and improving.
Pray the pleural effusions do not get any worse and start to resolve. Holding his tube feedings via NG tube for now but he has started TPN through his central line for nutrition.
Pray his belly remains stable without any issues. His blood pressures are still a little low and he is requiring a low dose of epi so pray these will improve so we can stop that.
Pray for all his vital signs to remain stable and no fever.
Pray for his labs to continue to trend in the right direction. His blood cultures cont to remain negative so cont to pray they have no growth so we don't have to give any antibiotics.
He is getting some albumin so pray this will help pull some of the fluid back into his blood vessels so it can be pulled off with his dialysis. He tolerated his blood transfusion well that finished before he went to surgery earlier.
Pray his hemoglobin and platelets continue to increase on their own. 🙏Pray for a smooth stable night and let his little body rest and cont to heal.
